Italian company Castellini is one of the oldest European manufacturers of dental equipment. Unique ergonomics and first-class design are the hallmarks of the company’s products
Castellini’s new Skema 8 dental unit is not only the company’s most advanced product to date, but also the most advanced on the market. State-of-the-art technology and detailed design ensure efficient doctor’s work and patient comfort.
UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS OF SKEMA 8
The innovative Sliding system combines the lowering of the backrest with an 18 cm forward slide of the seat. The dentist can work as freely as possible without having to move accessories during treatment – the working area remains stationary. And the patient in the 12 o’clock position does not feel much pressure on the back. Thanks to Soft Motion technology, the patient chair moves smoothly and quietly. In addition, Slow Mode allows you to change the position of the chair by centimeters, which is important when making adjustments during implant treatment or when using a microscope.
NFC technology allows you to customize the settings of the dental unit in the way that suits the individual dentist and save these settings (for example, the position of the chair and bowl of the spittoon, lighting parameters, as well as the operating parameters of the built-in instruments). The control is triggered by the user’s personalized wristband. It instantly connects to the Skema 8 as soon as you tap the NFC symbol on the side of the doctor’s unit.
Voice control can adjust the work light and adjust the patient’s chair, start a timer (which is necessary, for example, when taking impressions). The operating modes are activated by voice, which is faster and more hygienic because the doctor does not have to make physical contact with the control panel.
Tool retention levers are optimized with exclusive SideFlex technology. They are compact, yet provide a wide angle of inclination, precise balancing, instrument feeding without strain on the doctor’s wrist; they follow the lateral movements of the hoses thanks to the tilt joint. The levers can be completely dismantled if necessary.
The filling of the cup is fully automated and reflected on a sensor, and the bowl of the spittoon is motor-driven, so rinsing the patient’s mouth is both more convenient and faster.
The SURGISON 2 ultrasonic handpiece is specially designed for maxillofacial surgery, implantology and osteotomy. Reliable, accurate and easy to handle, it integrates seamlessly into the Skema 8 software. The Surgison 2 is fully autoclavable and provides irrigation of the surgical field with sterile fluids for optimal asepsis if required.
The revolutionary Skema 8 provides a highly efficient dental practice, while the versatility and excellence of its technological solutions give dentists of any specification the opportunity to work in the field
A database of the most common endodontic files, so that the optimal parameters for all traditional endodontic procedures are set automatically
The new Venus LED MCT provides ideal illumination of the operating field for all procedures and positions. It can rotate on three axes, turn on and off without touching, and control light intensity up to 50,000 lux. The creators of the Skema 8 have not forgotten about hygiene either – the sealed front shield is easy to clean and the handles can be removed and sterilized in an autoclave.
When operating in reciprocating mode in conjunction with an EVO E4 contra-angle, the alternating rotation control mode allows the use of RECIPROC®, RECIPROC BLUE® and WAVEONE GOLD® files.
SHD device is provided for disinfection of cannulas and hoses of the aspiration system. In just two minutes, the aspiration system is flushed and hygienically cleaned with water and a special liquid. This procedure can easily be done after each patient – time permitting.
The Autosteril water circuit disinfection system guarantees microbactericidal and bactericidal action as well as protection against Legionella. In combination with Peroxy Ag+ disinfectant, the system helps to hygienically clean the plant elements at the end of the working day as well as short cleaning cycles. They consist of several steps:
- dehumidification of the circuit using compressed air;
- adding 3% hydrogen peroxide to the water circuit;
- the “dwell time” required for the liquid to take effect;
- draining the liquid with compressed air;
- rinsing with water (tap water or distilled water).
